Bruce Harold Anderson
was born on February 12th, 1948 in Cranbrook, B.C. and passed away on May 25th, 2014 in the North Okanagan Hospice at the age of 66 years.
Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Aggie Carey, to whom he was married for 37 years; his beloved canine friend and idol, Kaila; one sister, Heather Anderson of Mexico; one step-sister, Christine Watts of Cowichan Bay, B.C.; one nephew; three nieces; and numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Olga Anderson and his step-father, Ed Bakken.
Bruce moved to Vernon in 1973 to pursue his career as a Broadcast Journalist and was employed at CJIB, focusing on news and sports. He was an extremely caring man who made many friends during his lifetime. Bruce was an avid gardener, was passionate about his model car hobby and he loved music.
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Bruce’s Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 7th, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Gwen Smith officiating. A Reception will follow in the Bethel Tea Room.
