Brian Victor Davis

April 27, 1956 - May 24, 2023
In Loving Memory ~
Brian has moved to his new home in heaven. He has now met his Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ and will never face pain, sickness, sadness or death again. This was a wonderful day for him.
He was born at KDH in Duncan to Victor and Stella Davis.
He was predeceased by his father Victor Davis in 1979, his mother Stella Fullerton in 2021 at age 100, step-father James Fullerton in 1998 and his step-brother Jim Fullerton in 2014.
He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his sister Joy Davis and his many friends, relatives and man's best friend, Rocky. Brian grew up in Somenos, attending Somenos Elementary, Mount Prevost and Cowichan Senior Secondary schools.
Brian worked as the Village Green Inn's first bus boy. He then went to work at Duncan Garage driving the "Blue Goose" Ford Econoline as a parts driver and later transferring to the parts department. His grandfather Douglas Ford had previously worked at Duncan Garage as a machinist in the 1920s.
Brian was very good at drawing houses and drew a number of heritage buildings in the Cowichan Valley. He attended Malaspina College in Nanaimo where he took Graphic Arts courses. He worked at the Chemainus Sawmill for a year before moving to Vancouver in 1980.
Brian took the Printing Production Program at Vancouver Community College. He then worked in a number of print shops before working for the Tri-City News and the Langley Times in the advertising layout department. Brian volunteered with a number of organizations over the years, but most recently at Wagner Hill Farms a recovery centre.
Brian's passion has always been cars. He had a photographic memory of all the cars people owned and could identify a car by looking at a small section or part of it. He loved car shows and the Langley Cruise In. He had a number of car loving friends and especially his autobody repair friend who rebuilt a number of vehicles for him.
Brian was also a researcher, interested in genealogy. He followed his family tree on both sides of the family, and on one side he traced it back to 1648 or ten generations. With his artistic design skills he recorded and laid out an amazing amount of family stories, photographs and history. He shared these with his cousins, preserving and passing on the family heritage so it won't be forgotten.
Brian was always designing his dream home or wanting to move a heritage home, this was his dream until the end.
Graveside interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery at 6493 Somenos Road (the corner of Drinkwater Rd. and Somenos Rd.) in Duncan at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
To be followed with a Celebration of Life service at Duncan Pentecostal Church, 931 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC at 2:00 pm.
