Brenda Spence, 70, of Salmon Arm passed away suddenly at Kelowna General Hospital with her family by her side. She was born to the late John and Hetty Gloyn, on November 17, 1952, in Salmon Arm, B.C.
She married Stewart Spence in 1974 and lived in Salmon Arm through the 49 following years.
She is survived by her husband Stewart, son Tom (Marega, granddaughters Claire and Laurel), son Ed (Julie), sisters Sandra (Bruce), Sharon (Rod) and Joanne (Hermann) and their extended families.
Brenda worked as a Special Education Assistant in local schools where many people will remember her as a kind and creative mentor. She will be keenly missed by her family (and her granddaughters to whom she was "Granny") and many close friends.
A celebration of Brenda's life will be held at Sunnybrae Hall on May 7 from 1-5 PM. All are welcome.
