September 20, 1948 - August 2, 2023
In Loving Memory ~
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of a dearly loved man, Bob (Robert) Edwin Frink. On August 2nd, 2023. Born Sept 20th, 1948, in Seattle, Washington to Edwin and Joan Frink, brother to Colleen and Jim. Uncle to Anna, Logan, Joanie, Jamie, Rob, Sarah, Amy and Heidi.
Bob's lifelong love of fishing began growing up at Thrasher's Corner near Bothell, Washington. On the family's 10-acre farm he spent summers with his siblings making swimming holes, catching crawdads, and helping with horses & cows.
He graduated from Bothell High School in 1966 and went on to the University of Washington earning a degree in business. He worked graveyard shifts for Boeing and spent days at the beach where he met his future wife Kathie.
Following exposure to war in Vietnam, Bob & Kathie were married and sought a simpler life in Canada. Bob worked hard for his family building a life and eventually a log home in Williams Lake BC. He could be a quiet man but when he chose to chime in with his jokes and unbelievable stories he always brought laughter and warmth to the lives of his many friends.
Bob is predeceased by his mother Joan Frink, father Ed Frink and his son, Jason Frink who was lost 2 years ago.
He was deeply loved by his wife, Kathie Frink whom he shared a life for 53 years, and his daughter Kelly Frink.
Bob had the joy of watching 3 grandchildren grow, Tristan, Alison and Aiden raised by Jason and Pamela Frink. He was a true friend, outstanding father, brother, uncle, grandfather and loving husband. Bob will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he was blessed to be a part of.
Due to restrictions and other circumstances, the family has decided to choose a spring date to celebrate this man in addition to the life of his eldest son Jason in a combined memorial in April 2024. Please reach out to kellyfrink@shaw.ca for exact details or via FB event information.
We hope to gather, share stories and finally celebrate the extraordinary lives of these 2 men.
