A Celebration of Life ~

1951-2025

Bernie's siblings, Tom, Chris, Corinne and Terrance, invite his friends to help us celebrate and honour him at Gyro Park in East Trail. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. There was no one like him.

Friends were important to Bernie (aka Budsie). The family home on Columbia Avenue was a hub of activity. He graduated from Crowe in 1969 where he was a top athlete: physical fitness and competitive sports were an integral part of his life. He was an avid reader, newshound, and lifelong learner with an incredible memory and the gift of gab. He loved Trail and was an ardent Smokies fan, gym rat, and a regular on the rocks at Gyro. He will be remembered for his positivity, compassion, good humour and quick wit.

A storyteller extraordinaire, Bernie loved to socialize and laugh. Now it's our turn.

In addition to your memories and stories, please bring a lawn chair and your hat. Shade is available under the trees, and the concession area and gazebo are available if it rains. We won't have a Spud Shack or a Smoothie Bar, but we will provide drinks & light snacks. Bring a cooler and something to share if you'd like.

We hope to see you at Gyro. Thank you all for your condolences. You can view Bernie's obituary and leave a message on the tribute page by visiting the family's online register at www.clarksfuneral.ca.
