It is with great sadness that we announce that Barb passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Dennis, her daughters Stacy (Jonathan) and Darlene (Chris), and grandsons Riley and Keenan. She will also be missed by her sister Peggy, sister-in-law Shelley, nieces and nephews Danny (Diane), Linda (Dave), Julia, Megan (Brody), Courtney (Matt), as well as 8 great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Barb grew up and lived in Maple Ridge her entire life. She loved to travel and took many cruises and bus trips over the years. She was extremely talented and will always be remembered for her infamous hobbies from sewing, painting, and crafting to name a few but card making is what she spent most of her time doing since retiring as a locksmith. Barb enjoyed going for breakfasts and hanging out with the ladies from her card group and whether her beautiful cards were made for a special event, birthday, or Christmas, they will always be remembered and cherished by anyone who received one. Barb was an extraordinary woman who touched the lives of so many, and she will be forever missed by all who knew her.
Barb is predeceased by her father Alais, mother Anne, brothers Peter and Bob, sister-in-law Leona and stepdad John, who we know will be welcoming her with open arms.
The family wishes to thank all the amazing doctors and nurses from ICU and 2 West at Ridge Meadows Hospital for their wonderful care and support. No service will be held as per Barb’s request.
