Audrey L. Wolfe, loving wife of Bill Wolfe (predeceased), peacefully passed away on November 7, 2022, at the age of 98. She was also predeceased by her sister (Evelyn), who was her life-long best friend, and brother (Percy). She is survived by her three children, Debbie (Allan), Brenda, and Marilea (Kevin), three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Audrey was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan in 1924. After finishing high school, she worked at the Bank of Montreal. While visiting a friend who had moved to Chilliwack, she fell in love with the purple mountains and greenery. She was able to transfer there, and shortly after moving, she fell in love with Bill. They raised three daughters and there were lots of family picnics, game nights, trips to Palm Springs, Phoenix, and Hawaii, and summers spent at their cottage on beautiful Lake Kalamalka in the Okanagan.
Audrey had a creative and colourful artistic flare. She had her poetry published when she was a child and became a talented artist. She loved to sing and dance, and made many beautiful clothes for herself and children, ensuring that everyone was dressed up for special occasions. An avid reader and bridge player rounded out Audrey's activities as well as several trips overseas to Europe and the South Pacific.
A fun-loving, carefree soul who dutifully provided care to others, she was also involved in the community through organizations such as K-40 and UNICEF. We would like to thank the staff at Sidney All Care for their years of wonderful care and compassion to our loving mother.
There will be a private ceremony for family in 2023.
