It is with much sadness and love that we announce the passing of Andy (Andrew) Dixon on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 75. He passed away peacefully with his wife Catharine (Cath) Andrew at his side after a valiant fight with cancer.
Andy was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Dixon (nee Klatt); sister Ruth brother David, brother Des, all from the U.K., and sister Gill, U.S. Andy is survived by his two sons, 2 stepdaughters and six grandchildren. He has many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, and so many friends who will miss him dearly. Son, Colin Dixon (Hayley Clavora) and grandsons Chase and Cooper from Nanaimo, B.C.; son, Tony Dixon (Trish) and granddaughter Hana Dixon (Cleaver) from Tofino, BC; step-daughter, Lindsay Ross (Brad), and grandsons Isaac and Carson from Nanaimo, B.C.; step-daughter, Morgan Campbell (Damien Cartwright) and grandson Dexter from Redditch, U.K.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be at the Nanaimo Yacht Club on September 21, 2023, @ 3 p.m. at 400 Newcastle Ave., Nanaimo, B.C.
