June 24, 1943 - May 24, 2025

In loving memory ~

With heavy hearts we share the sudden passing of our beloved Mother and Memere, "Yvette." Yvette leaves her family to forever miss her, son Ron (Lori), daughter Deb (Haas Joe), grandchildren, Alisha (Mariah), Dylan (Sabrina), Nicola (Nathan), and Jenna. She is also survived by her siblings, Lucy Brulotte, Marcel Chrétien, Aline Lewis, and Lorraine Parent. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest Chrétien, Theresa Schaffer, brother Raymond Chrétien, sister Irene Molliet and her loving husband Armand of 60 years. Brother in laws, Norm Brulotte and Ken Laitmen, nephews, Julian Chrétien, Floyd Brulotte, and Gordon Yateman. Yvette was born in Shellbrook Saskatchewan on June 24, 1943, the second born of seven children. As a young child she and her family later moved to Port Alberni, where she grew up and later met our father, Armand. They were married on September 9, 1961, where their journey together blessed them with 2 children and later blessing them again with 4 beautiful grandchildren. Yvette was a very strong and spiritual being who was so gifted with healing energy that she presented warmth and well-being to those around her. She was a very kind, loving, generous, gentle soul whether it was towards family, friends or even the homeless. She never judged but always gave often giving more then needed and never expecting anything in return. She was always there for her family, giving us guidance and direction and always keeping us all in her daily prayers and thoughts. Her smile, her laugh and her sense of humour touched us all, giving us all such great joy, that will so dearly be missed.

Yvette was also a woman of so many talents, skills, knowledge and wisdom, often excelling. Her drive and determination lead her back to school to complete her grade 12 and where she achieved university level, something she and us all took such great pride in. She was also a very artistic soul, whether it was through her drawings, paintings, sewing, quilting, knitting or needle work. She was a woman that had so many talents and was always so humble about it. Yvette will be deeply missed and loved forever, but we take comfort in knowing that the Lord came and took her by the hand and brought her home to her peaceful resting place, where she's now our forever angel.

Gone but never forgotten, forever loved, and forever missed.

We will always love you forever and ever our precious Mother and Memere.
