In Loving Memory ~
Alf was born in Sandefjord, Norway and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1952.
Alf was predeceased by his father, Grant (1997); mother, Mathilde (2002); brothers Leif (2005) and Maurice (2023).
He is survived by his wife, Angela; son, Jon Erik; granddaughter, Leonie of Vancouver; brothers Rolf (Dawn) in Oak Bay, and Frank (Tem) of Prince Rupert; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Alf began his airline career with a stint in the RCAF in Trenton, Ontario and then continued with Pacific Western Airlines, Canadian Airlines International and Air Canada until he took early retirement in 2001.
He always had a passionate interest in anything mechanical and particularly antique cars. He worked six days a week in his shop with Sunday reserved to spend the day with his wife Angela.
He was a loving, kind and generous man with a great sense of humour who will be sorely missed and forever in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.
A very special thank you to all the dedicated nurses and doctors at the Kidney Dialysis Centers in both Duncan and the Royal Jubilee Hospitals; especially Dr. John Antonsen, and to Dr. Bill Moulaison, his family physician.
At Alf's request, no funeral service will be held.
