March 8, 2022
In loving memory ~
It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the loss of Alex Perehudoff. He passed away peacefully on March 8, 2022 at the age of 74 surrounded by his family.
Alex will be deeply missed by his loving wife Sylvia Braithwaite, daughter Tamara (Eric Hung), step-daughter Chantal (Mike Williams), brother Bill (Mary), brother Frank (Dorothy), sister Nadeen (Bill Elasoff), sister in-law Lydia, as well as two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father William, his mother Dorothy, brother Terry and his nephews Brian and Jim.
Alex was born in Nelson, BC in 1947 and was raised on a farm in Thrums, BC. He graduated from UBC Law School and was a competent and compassionate lawyer for over 35 years. He was a partner of Polonicoff & Perehudoff LLP for most of his legal career. Alex enjoyed being of service to his community. He served as a volunteer council to many community organizations over the years.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Alex, knew he was very passionate about the game of golf. He absolutely loved the Castlegar Golf Course where he enjoyed countless rounds of golf over the past 58 years. If he wasn't golfing or working, he would be in the great outdoors seeking trails, rivers and the next adventure. He couldn't get enough of the open road and couldn't wait for that next road trip. There would always be a song he was singing or a golf tournament or hockey game he was watching. Alex will be remembered dearly as a kind and intelligent man who was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Our gratitude goes out to the staff at the Kootenay Regional Hospital and family physician Dr. Stone. We sincerely appreciate your loving care and support during this difficult time.
Memorial donations can be made in memory of Alex Perehudoff to Junior Golf at the Castlegar Golf Club (602 Aaron Rd, Castlegar, BC V1N 4L6) or to the KBRH Health Foundation ( https://kbrhhealthfoundation.ca/ Hospital Bench, Trail, BC V1R 4M1.)
In our hearts forever Alex, we never say goodbye.
