Adrian Koppejan went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 23, 2023. He passed away peacefully at home at age 86 after a struggle with lung cancer for two years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Coby; children Saskia (Paul) deKoning, Miriam McCracken, Ada Koppejan, Andrew (Rhona-Lee) Koppejan, Marcel Koppejan; grandchildren Mike (Hunter), Jessica (Raf) and Stefanie deKoning, Connor (Taia) and Sean (Morgan) McCracken, Evan and Caleb Koppejan.
He is predeceased by 3 siblings and son-in-law, Ian McCracken; he is survived by siblings Kees, Truus, Jan (in the Netherlands) and Jaap (in Ontario).
He grew up in Holland, immigrated to Canada in 1974. He was a pipe organ builder in both Europe and Canada.
Adrian was a kind, hard-working man, with a great sense of humour, who loved camping, hiking, biking, and travelling, including missions trips. He was greatly loved by his wife and family and will be dearly missed.
The memorial service was held on Monday, July 3, at 2 pm at the Chilliwack Church of God (45814 Lewis Ave).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Compassion Canada or Open Doors. The family would like to thank Dr. Quentin Smith and nurse Lisa for providing care for him in his last days.
