Unknown caller threatens person’s pet

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 18 calls for service from February 2nd, 8 a.m. till February 3rd, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 18 calls for service from February 2nd, 8 a.m. till February 3rd, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, three people were lodged in Terrace cells – two of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Two 911 hang-up calls at a business on Lakelse Ave. They were determined to be false.

Intoxicated woman sleeping at a business on Lazelle Ave. The woman was transported to a motel but a sober person was not located to care for the woman. The 39-year-old woman was arrested.

Shoplifter at a business in the Skeena Mall. Under investigation.

Shoplifter at the Cold Beer and Wine Store on Lakelse Ave. Police located a man matching the description a short distance away. The stolen bottle of alcohol was found on his person. The 22-year-old man was arrested and is held for court.

Elsewhere Terrace

Landlord/tenant issues. It was discussed.

Well-being check on a neighbour who hasn’t been seen in a while. Police spoke with a woman. No issues.

Threats were uttered from an employee to an employer. Police spoke with the people involved.

A warrant was issued for a suicidal 33-year-old woman. Police spoke with the woman. A plan was agreed upon.

Domestic dispute in a vehicle parked at the gas pumps at the Shell on Hwy 16. Police spoke with a man and a woman. Unsubstantiated. The vehicle did not have insurance so it was towed.

911 call on Davis St. Police spoke with the people involved. Familial dispute. When 911 was called a person left. No offence committed.

Intoxicated person bothering people on Munroe St. Police arrested a 35-year-old woman.

A woman who had been hitchhiking was dropped off at the Copperside 2 on Hwy 16, not dressed for winter, with plans to hitchhike further to Prince Rupert. The woman stated that she was sexually assaulted. Police conducted numerous checks and were able to speak with the woman. Uncooperative.


Possible impaired driver in white 1992 Chrysler swerving all over the road on Hwy 37. Checks were done of the area.

A red Ford F150 was pulled over on Muller Ave near Clark St. The driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.


Threats to a person’s pet were uttered over the phone from an unknown person.

Break and enter to a residence and a shop on Copper River Rd. A 4 ft x 3 ft safe, power tools, and fishing equipment were stolen.

Suspicious vehicle on Copper River Rd. Police attended to the registered owner’s address and spoke with a man. He denied driving the vehicle but when confronted with an eyewitness who saw the vehicle in a driveway, his version of events changed.
