The Explosives Disposal Unit was called in to check out a suspicious duffle bag left on a bench in front of a business in the Gloucester business district early Tuesday morning.

The duffel bag was discovered just before 5:30 a.m. in the 27000 block of Gloucester Way. The placement of the bag led to someone calling the Langley RCMP.

Police set up a perimeter to ensure the safety of people in the area while the Explosives Disposal Unit looked into the bag.

There was nothing of concern inside, confirmed Cpl. Holly Largy. Police have left the area.
