Terrace RCMP continue search efforts with Terrace Search and Rescue for Dustin Steele in the area downstream of the Copper Flats area, reported police Nov. 4.

At this time, search and rescue are managing the search with trained volunteers.

“If weather permits, RCMP Air Services will assist with the search,” says Cpl. Mark Alexander, NCO in charge of the General Investigation Section of Terrace RCMP.

Investigation has determined that Dustin was with two other men in a blue 2013 Ford F150 truck on Saturday night, Nov. 1, in the area of Copper Flats, when the truck was driven into the river and became caught in the current, said police.

Two of the men made it to shore and Dustin was last seen in the back of the floating truck heading downstream on the Skeena River, said police.
