RCMP investigate death at Vernon home

UPDATE: 2:50 p.m.

RCMP have been investigating after a woman was found dead inside a home in the 5500 block of Heritage Drive.

Police were called to the property on Tuesday, May 28 at approximately 4:30 a.m.

According to Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media relations officer Const. Chris Terleski, “the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the person’s death is continuing. There is no known risk to the public and no additional information is available for release at this time.”


Vernon North Okanagan RCMP has surrounded a house in Vernon.

A large police presence has been in front of a house on Heritage Drive for most of the day, Wednesday, May 29.

Three Vernon RCMP vehicles, and an undercover SUV were stationed in front of the house Wednesday, May 29.

Police tape was also set up around the property.
