Vernon residents can learn more about safety measures.

RCMP volunteers will be at Polson Park Tuesday and Wednesday to provide crime prevention tips on thefts from vehicles, personal safety, identity theft and more.

“Volunteers will be joined by two RCMP officers who are also promoting community safety and awareness,” said Tanya Laing Gahr, the city’s communications officer.

“The operation is designed to raise awareness and reduce crime through an education visible RCMP volunteer presence.”

The RCMP volunteers are onsite from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
