Police report

News from the Summerland RCMP detachment over the past week.

Driver arrested

On April 23, police were called about a possible impaired driver.

Police attempted to stop the motorist near Johnson Street in Trout Creek, but the motorist did not stop until he got to a home on that street.

A 51-year-old Summerland man was arrested and charged with failing to stop for police, impaired driving and multiple prohibitions from driving.

The driver was taken to Penticton Regional Hospital and later released.

He will appear in court to face charges.

Watch owner sought

Police are looking for the owner of a ladies Rolex watch.

In September, during an investigation, Summerland RCMP came into possession of the watch, which is believed to have been stolen. So far, they have failed to identify the owner of the watch.

If this is your watch and you are able to prove ownership, contact Cpl. Bruce Haley of the Summerland RCMP detachment at 250-494-7416.
