Friends of the Castlegar Skatepark are asking the public for photo submissions to help finish off a new skateboard sign.
Advocate Ty Smith said the photos can show skateboarders in action at the Castlegar Skatepark or memorable photos that have occurred at it over the years.
The remaining five photos for the sign will be chosen based on how much interest they generate on social media and how accurately they portray the skatepark.
After the remaining photos are collected, Castlegar-based HTR Designs will help format them and print the design.
Local carpenters could also potentially help to install a frame around the skateboard sign, according to Smith.
The sign will be placed by the skatepark’s kiosk, which was recently built to help deliver local skateboarding programs.
You can submit your photos on a social media post recently created by the CRS.
The deadline for photo submissions is June 29.
