Mounties on the hunt for booze hungry robbers

Police are looking for two suspects after a liquor store was robbed Saturday night.

Mounties are looking for two men who ripped off around $200 in booze from an Okanagan liquor store.

The Kelowna RCMP responded to a robbery that had just occurred at Liquids Liquor Store located at 2395 Gordon Drive, Feb. 1 at 11 p.m.

“Shortly before police were called, two men entered the store with their faces covered,” said Const. Kris Clark. “One man placed several bottles of liquor in a bag while the other threatened the clerk with a bat-like weapon before both fled on foot towards Gordon Drive. A Police Service Dog established a track but the suspects were not located.”

The suspect with the bat is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • five-foot-11 to six-feet tall
  • Early 20s
  • Wearing all black clothing and a black knapsack

The second suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • five-foot-seven to five-foot-nine with a thin build
  • Wearing a black hooded sweater, black ball cap with white brim, beige pants white runners and a red duffle bag
