Man falls from Kelowna hotel balcony

Kelowna RCMP say a 40-year-old Ontario man was rushed to hospital in serious condition after falling from a balcony of a Kelowna hotel Tuesday.

On Aug 2, at 9:27 am, the police were called to assist ambulance paramedics who responded to a report of an injured male who had reportedly fallen from a balcony of the Coast Capri Hotel on Harvey Avenue.

When emergency crews arrived,they found a man lying on top of a wooden pergola, several storeys below the balcony from which they believe he fell from.

The man was rushed to hospital suffering from what police say were serious injuries.

Foul play is not suspected and police say they believe the fall was accidental.
