A Salmon Arm man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to sexual assault.
Calvin Scurvey, who is being held in custody, admitted to sexually assaulting a teenaged girl on Feb. 15, 2011.
The courts have ordered the preparation of a pre-sentence report for review prior to his sentencing.
Scurvey has an extensive criminal record in Salmon Arm for assault, breach of probation and robbery dating back to 2001.
The 36-year-old man will appear again in Salmon Arm court on March 18 to fix a date for a sentencing hearing.
