Wild winds, wildlife, wild art and wild rides – find them all in the pages of this week’s Langley Advance.

Winds caused damage in the community, including bringing a tree down onto a woman’s car while she was in it. There were also thousands locally without power temporarily.

This week’s edition tells of how Township staff watched over a duck when she nested in the public works parking lot. We’ve updated the website story to report that she and her eight ducklings have since waddled off to a nearby park.

The Upcycle Design Challenge keeps getting more and more upscale each year as people show the incredible things they can do with items that would othewise end up in the landfill.

Also check out Ride For Doug and the impact it’s having on a young boy. Another wild ride is our report on the Cloverdale Rodeo.

Plus there’s so much more, including a roundup of the international horse show at Thunderbird Show Park on the first weekend in June.
