City cancels second council meeting of 2017

The City of Prince Rupert cancelled its regular council meeting for April 3

For the second time since the flipping of the calendar year, the City of Prince Rupert has cancelled one of its regular council meetings.This time it’s the April 3, 7 p.m. meeting that got the chop after the city cancelled its Jan. 23 meeting earlier in the year.No details were provided as to why the meeting was cancelled in its update posted to the city’s website earlier this week, but a closed, special council meeting will still proceed at 5 p.m. on April 3.

The next scheduled council meeting is set for April 24.Additionally, the city re-worked its schedule of sessions for the coming months, with a May 29 regular meeting now set for May 23, a Tuesday, falling outside the normal Monday evening lineups.
