Daniel Crook is looking forward to new adventures after high school.
The Grade 12 student at Fort St. James Elementary School will be off to university this fall.
“I’ve applied to two universities. One in Ontario and one in Quebec,” Crook said.
The 17 year-old is excited to pursue a degree in mathematical physics.
Mr. Gary Soles, a teacher at the school, says that Crook is a role model and leader especially in his CNC (computer numerical controlled) class.
“He has mastered this class with hard work and diligence,” Soles said.
Even though Crook looks forward to university in another province, he does admit that he will miss the hometown in which he was raised.
“I like the activities here,” Crook said. “We have the lake and mountains, the ski hill and skating oval.”
Crook has enjoyed spending his time skiing, skating and sailing in Fort St. James.
“But I’m looking forward to what’s ahead. And to new experiences,” Crook said.
