Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is looking at a busy Spring Break with more than 125,000 passengers expected to travel through the airport.

YLW expects increased and steady traffic flow from March 15 to April 1, with Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays the busiest days.

Passengers are encouraged to plan and prepare for longer than normal wait times. Checking in online, paying fees, validating passport information and retrieving boarding passes will help speed up the airport.

Travellers are also encouraged to consider alternate transportation to YLW are parking is expected to reach full capacity during the peak period.

Early check-in and baggage drop-off are also recommended, as well as being aware of what items can be brought through security screening.
