Cindy Verbeek with the Buck Creek Canfor Hatchery and Nature Centre has organized a bird watching group on Wednesday mornings. The birders meet at 8:30 a.m. and go on a pleasant slow paced walk, looking at who is making all the chirping noises. With the help of binoculars the attendees search for the singing birds. There are 11 attendees and they meet at three different locations depending on the day. Silverthorne Lake, Vallee Lake, old pines trail and the Duck pond.
