The 100 Mile Performing Arts Society is a registered non-profit society formed in 2005.
In recent memory, a community performing arts group was established by Colleen Whidden. For several years, her amateur community productions delighted 100 Mile House audiences.
When she left 100 Mile, the society was established to focus on the society mission, to give official credence in handling finances, and to provide a wider involvement of 100 Mile and area residents.
Since the society was formed, Annie Get Your Gun, Hello Dolly, The Sound of Music, and Annie have been staged in 100 Mile.
This upcoming season will feature Something Funny Happened on the Way to the Forum.
Audiences have been impressed with the quality of the productions and people have come from far away to catch the shows.
The society has formed a solid partnership with the District of 100 Mile House in the use and enhancement of Martin Exeter Hall, which was kindly donated by the Emissaries of Divine Light.
Professional practices for set design staging, lighting, and sound have raised standard of the productions.
The society is always looking for people who wish to experience the excitement of participating in staging these wonderful productions.
