Dinosaurs are stomping into Kelowna.

The successful, Dinosaurs of BC exhibit, which debuted at the Royal BC Museum in 2023, is coming to the Okanagan Heritage Museum.

“We are so excited to be hosting this exhibit,” said Kelowna Museums Society’s Curatorial Manager, Amanda Snyder. “We’ve all got dino-fever. Our visitors, especially the kids, are just as excited.”

It’s an opportunity to get to know “Buster”, the Iron Lizard of the Sustut River, and the other dinosaurs that once roamed the province.

The exhibit features a dig for dinosaur fossils, a dinosaur-themed ‘Myth Buster’ game, dinosaur eggs, and a draw to win a special dino-themed gift basket.

Support from the federal government and Chances Casino helped make the rental of the travelling exhibition possible.

Dinosaurs of BC will be at the Okanagan Heritage Museum from June 6 to September 30. Admission is by donation.

An opening celebration for Dinosaurs of BC is set for Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Okanagan Heritage Museum.

More information is available on the Kelowna Museums website.
